U4GM - Warborne Above Ashes: 26 Power-Ups and Where to Find Them

If you're making your way through Warborne Above Ashes, you already know it's a game that doesn’t hold your hand. The sprawling zones, punishing enemy AI, and deep resource systems all push you to get every edge you can. One of the best ways to stay ahead is by tracking down the 26 power-ups scattered across the game. These items can drastically improve your survivability, damage output, traversal abilities, and more—but only if you know where to look.

As someone who’s spent more than a few weekends combing through volcanic wastelands and scorched ruins, here’s my guide to all 26 power-ups in Warborne Above Ashes, plus a few personal tips on when to use them and how they synergize with your build.

1–5: Ember Cores (Region: Scorched Plateau)

You’ll first encounter Ember Cores not long after unlocking the Volcanic Traverse. They boost stamina regeneration, which is crucial for dodging those relentless drone enemies.

  • One is hidden behind a collapsed tunnel near the south bridge.

  • Another sits on a platform guarded by a Flame Warden.

  • Check under the broken overpass near the lava trench for a third.

  • A fourth is tucked inside a collapsed storage container (you’ll need the Phase Grenade to access).

  • The last one in this area can be found by defeating the optional miniboss, Kragjaw.

6–10: Flux Nodes (Region: Delta Ridge)

These power-ups grant passive boosts to ranged weapon efficiency. Perfect if you’re running a Solarbolt or Pulse Carbine setup.

  • There’s a node inside the remains of the downed ship near Signal Tower 4.

  • Another is hidden beneath a waterfall cave—watch for trip mines.

  • The third one is tied to a timed platforming challenge (fail, and you have to reset the entire circuit).

  • Defeat the Apex Sentinel to unlock access to a locked crate containing the fourth.

  • A fifth can be earned by completing a side quest given by the Hermit of the Ridge.

11–15: Cryoshards (Region: Hollow Depths)

Cryoshards reduce heat buildup from Solarburst weapons—something any Warborne Above Ashes Solarbite user will appreciate. If you rely on high output during boss fights, collecting all five is a must.

  • One is in a hidden alcove near the magma lake.

  • A second is awarded after completing the Depth Trials.

  • Look behind the frost-covered spire for another.

  • The fourth is held by a rogue Sentinel that roams the Depths randomly—be ready for a tough fight.

  • A fifth can be found deep inside the Leviathan chamber.

16–20: Gravplates (Region: Skyreach Complex)

These reduce fall damage and increase mobility while airborne. Especially handy during the third act when traversal becomes vertical.

  • One is on the roof of the broken tower (use grapple mod).

  • Find another by climbing the maintenance shaft behind Control Room B.

  • A third Gravplate is hidden inside a cargo bay—scan for false walls.

  • Another is given after completing the “Lost Tech” chain quest.

  • The final one floats above a gravity anomaly—requires precision timing to snag it.

21–26: Ashborn Relics (Various)

These six late-game power-ups are spread across multiple biomes and provide passive buffs that affect your entire squad. Some even alter skill cooldowns or add elemental damage to melee strikes.

  • One is hidden in the final zone after defeating the Dread Core.

  • Another requires solving the Beacon Array puzzle.

  • A third is dropped by the Elite Pyremancer near Embergate.

  • The fourth can be traded from a merchant using rare Ash Tokens.

  • Find the fifth inside a derelict underground lab (requires full clearance key).

  • The last relic is unlocked after you complete the game on Veteran difficulty and start a New Game+.

Bonus Tip for Solarbite Users

If you’re focusing on the Warborne Above Ashes Solarbite path, these power-ups—especially Cryoshards and Flux Nodes—are non-negotiable. They’ll help you keep heat levels low and DPS high. That said, if you’re starting late or want to jump into a more optimized build, many players choose to buy Warborne Above Ashes Solarbite components or materials rather than grind them. While I always recommend playing through organically your first time, sites like U4GM are popular for sourcing gear quickly, especially if you’re short on time.

Whether you're a completionist or just trying to survive the next wave, gathering all 26 power-ups will drastically change how you experience Warborne Above Ashes. Take your time, explore thoroughly, and don’t be afraid to experiment with different loadouts as you grow stronger.
